I’ve missed playing FFOF for a while. Guess I haven’t done too good a job keeping up with which set of questions was for which Friday
. Anyhow this week’s question is:
What can you make with eggs, meat or poultry, vegetables and a starch?
First thing that comes to mind is fried rice. It’s a simple one-dish meal that’s great for clearing any leftovers in my fridge.

The good thing is you can use practically anything – rice, barbecued pork, sausages, and veggies though soft veggies like cabbage don’t taste as good when refried. So I usually add a handful of freshly diced carrots, French beans or long beans, basically a harder vegetable to give it a bit of a crunch.
No two fried rice I make are the same, simply because it really depends on what ingredients I happen to have on hand. Here are my recipes for spicy fried rice and the yummiest fried rice ever
.
