four foods on Friday 101

Gotta love this week’s questions.

1. Do you have any food related New Years resolutions?

Nope, I eat what I want when I want, hehe! I’m just one of those people who needs to eat. not a lot but often!

2. What’s one thing you’d like to learn how to make from scratch this year?

Soups, yes! Clam chowder, which I so love and wish I knew how to cook myself. French onion soup. Cream of something soup like maybe pumpkin, broccoli or mushroom but those’ll have to wait till I fall in love with a hand-held blender.

3. What’s the most unusual thing in your cabinet, refrigerator or freezer right now?

Wasabi macadamia – very tasty but way salty! If you’re looking at them as natural sleep aids, forget it! They’re so spicy they erase all sleep from your eyes!

4. What kind of can opener do you have?

The old-fashioned crank me in a circle kind. Cans are my last resort and reserved for when I’m in dire straits.

  3. I just had a delicious squash soup Thursday night at our monthly ladies’ fellowship and Bible study. It was gourmet! A couple of people asked for the recipe, so she just printed it out for everyone. I plan to post it on my blog this week.
