I know this is going to sound pretty wierd. I’ve been drinking tea for like years now, all kinds of tea but it took me a simple meal at a simple restaurant to discover, of all things, Cameronian tea.

Cameronian tea

At lunch one day, I ordered a cup of Cameronian tea for my daughter to sooth her dry, scratchy throat. To be honest, when I ordered it, I had no idea what kind of tea it would be. It just said “hot tea” on the menu. Not very descriptive but I knew it couldn’t be Chinese tea otherwise it would’ve said so.

At any rate, she’d never tasted Cameronian tea but it was love at first sip. Between wondering what kind of tea it was and going back to that restaurant for seconds, I picked up a 20-teabag pack of gold blend Cameronian tea at the grocery tea.

Turns out it tasted just like the one we’d had. Eureka, we’d found it! I can steep a whole pot using only 2 teabags and 4 dessertspoons of sugar and it tastes wonderful! It’s aromatic and not too sweet but I’m not sure if you’ll still need diet pills after a big meal or if this tea has natural slimming benefits.

But hey, for the price of 1 small cup of Cameronian tea at the restaurant, I can now brew 5 pots at home. Guess what, we’re having Cameronian every other day of the week  !
