I didn’t realize you weren’t in the US. Yeah, egg drop soup and wonton soup are pretty standard in every Chinese restaurant I’ve been to.

I forgot to do mine this week and it was a good one too. All the Chinese restaurants that deliver around here are bad so you have to drive to get to the good ones.

I guess restaurants try to cater to local taste. It’s not only in the US, I think it happens everywhere. Chinese food in the US tends to be sweeter and blander, that’s my personal observation .

The US tends to make up their own ideas of what they think ethnic based restaurants are. You’d think we’d make an effort for more authentic foods!
