I’m rushing out the door right now to see an old friend from California. We have lots of catching up to do so I’m outta here as soon as I post this. Have a great weekend, y’all
.
#1. Name something you use cream cheese in/on.
I hardly ever use cream cheese, only when I bake cheesecakes.
#2. Do you use yogurt in any recipes?
I use yogurt and chili powder for marinating chicken drumsticks. It’s actually pretty tasty.
#3. Macaroni salad. What do you like/put in yours?
I don’t think I’ve made this before, simply because my kids don’t like macaroni. But if I were making this, I’d definitely have bacon in it.
#4. Share a recipe that you use sour cream in.
I’ve never used sour cream in my cooking so I’m sorry I don’t have a recipe to share at this time.

I’m visiting from Four Foods! Yoghurt is one of my favourite marinades. It is by far the best meat tenderizer out there!

I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who doesn’t make the mac salad. That seems to be the common theme this FFoF!

I agree with you on having bacon in macaroni salad. It makes my mouth water.

Using yogurt on chicken, now that’s a great idea! I also like the idea of bacon in macaroni salad. I think it would also be good in potato salad.

I will be trying the marinate. Never thought to use yogurt and chili powder.

@typo
and for visiting.
Yes, I forgot to mention that it works as a tenderizer, thanks for reminding me

True what you say, I noticed that too. Maybe it’s because most of us think of mac more as a pasta than a salad

Me too, I might have convinced myself to make mac salad just once

I like cream cheese and tuna on savory biscuits for a snack and for cheesecakes as you said. Yogurt I like to eat as a dessert but not in a dish. I like macaroni salad made with french dressing, bell peppers and corn. I don’t use sour cream in cooking except for dips.

What is your yogurt to chili powder ratio? I have drumsticks in the freezer I’ve been wanting to use up, and this sounds perfect. Do you add or do anything else to the chicken when you bake it?

I use 1 cup of yogurt or enough to coat about 10-12 drumsticks nicely. Chili powder is as per your heat preference. Season with salt and pepper. That’s it
