I almost thought I was going to miss this week’s Four Foods because I was so busy moving my Glorious Food blog to its new home here at Foodarrific. If you’ve previously subscribed to my feed, please be sure to resubscribe to this new feed instead.

Well, now that we’re all nicely settled in, I guess there’s still time to play Four Foods on Friday. Valmg over at Fun, Crafts and Recipes always has such fun questions I wouldn’t miss them for the world.

#1. What’s your favorite form of potatoes?
I’d have to say baked potato that I can top with basically whatever I fancy on any given day. But it’s French fries that I eat most often though since having 3 teens means fast food is where I hang out most  .

#2. Pie crust. Premade or from scratch?
I’d love the luxury of making it from scratch but I’m always in a rush. So I’d have to say premade. This saves me time and let’s just say, you can’t go wrong with premade  .

#3. Vegetables. Fresh, frozen or canned?
Always fresh except for the occasional bag of frozen green peas, carrots and corn.

#4. What one dish do you wish you could prepare better?
I’d have to say pastries. I can’t seem to consistently get the same results and I get frustrated when they don’t turn out as light and flaky as I see the chefs do it on TV. Guess I gotta watch more TV  .

Oh! I forgot about pastries. Yes, it is hard to get them flakey so I just buy them from the bakery.

Yep, me too, I just find a good bakery and stick with it :???: and save myself the trouble.

Those cooking shows I think are what gets us all into trouble because we WANT to make what they are making and something it just doesn’t turn out right lol Although I have to say I do have some recipes on hand I use quite frequently from the food network and they are excellent each and every time.

Thanks for playing Four Foods on Friday!

[...] ChiliQueen prefers piecrust made from scratch but to save time uses premade. ChiliQueen includes photos in many of her posts, which is great. She’s given great instructions on how to make a toasty sandwich. I must ask about the last picture on this post. [...]

So true, cooking shows are a blast to watch but the expectations they set, hmmm.

@valmg
Thanks for the great questions each week. Love your meme.

i’ve never even attempted pastries, but i just know the results would be disastrous. haha.

Ah, pastries. I haven’t even tried with them.

You won’t know till you try. Maybe you’ve got it in you

Three teens!?!
WOW!
You deserve a medal!

Three is manageable but a medal would be nice too

Those TV chefs keep me frustrated! They make everything look so easy and their food always “plates” looking lovely. We try to duplicate their efforts and end up disappointed. I should quit watching so as to avoid the frustrations, but I guess I’m hooked. :D
