We were at the Pavilion twice this past week and I ended up buying enough pastries for our family of five to be eating it for breakfast and lunch the entire weekend
.

We got these lovely cinnamon raisin rolls, cheese sticks, raisin butter buns and chocolate muffins from the deli at Mercato, which is the grocery store located right at the end of the Pavilion’s Food Republic. Well, a high-end grocery store, if I might add, with a high-end deli inhouse, no less.

The tuna croissant (or should I say, giant tuna croissant) is heavenly. I’ve rarely seen a croissant this big (and who was it who said size doesn’t matter again?
). This baby’s even bigger than the sub we had over at Subway.
Not only that, it’s jam-packed with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and a tangy tuna, just as the cinnamon raisin rolls are overflowing with raisins inside.
We spent a small fortune on these pastries but you know what, it was money well spent. See, that’s the thing, I don’t mind paying more for great taste and generous portions. And no, Mercato isn’t paying me to say this.
