four foods on Friday #20
Wow, is it Friday already? This has been a potato and pasta week for us. I made baked potatoes with corned beef one day, and another day, I made potato salad with bacon, and finally got my fettucine linguine alfredo to near perfection. I’ve just noticed we’re starting to look like potatoes
.
#1. What type of m&m is your favorite?
I really have to think about this for a minute (LOL). I confess I’ve barely had more than 10 m&m’s in my entire life. I’m not sure how many different types there are out there. But I seem to recall only eating the plain ones, nothing fancy.
#2. Peanut butter. Smooth, chunky, creamy. How do you like it?
I like it chunky on toast.
#3. Do you usually drink out of glass, acrylic, Tupperware type or paper cups?
I use a porcelain cup with a cover. When I go to the gym, I use a huge acrylic bottle. It’s the ugliest thing ever but it keeps me honest about guzzling 1 liter after my workouts.
#4. Share a chicken recipe.
This is the roast chicken recipe I use when I can’t think what to cook. It’s kinda adapted from the one Jamie Oliver uses. Marinate the chicken with salt and pepper. Cut a lemon in half. Smash a few cloves of garlic leaving the skins on. Stuff the lemon, garlic and any herbs you have handy into the chicken cavity. Roast at 180 degrees F for about an hour or till cooked.

Only 10 m&m’s??? Just kidding. You probably eat more healthy than me.
[...] Chili Queen shared a roasted chicken recipe and thinks the few m&m’s she’s ever had were plain. [...]
roasted chicken is a fall back meal in my house too. i think i always have two chickens in the freezer at any given time.
@Karen
just that I had a chocolate-deprived childhood
@corrin
Everybody loves it and it’s a no-brainer literally
I am intrigued by the lemon in the cavity chicken… I have a lemon tree so I should really have tried this before now!
No worries…I’ve had enough M&Ms in my life for the both of us! hehehe
@blair
A lemon tree, huh? That’s way cool. Well, according to Jamie Oliver, the lemon infuses its flavor from the inside out so it’ll taste much better.
@sarafina
Wow thanks, I’ll be sure to pass them along to you if and when I get a handful…
That sounds very similar to the recipe I posted! I got mine from an interview I saw on t.v. with one of England’s royal family. I can’t remember which one though. Mine doesn’t have the garlic, but I think I will add that in next time, it sounds very good.
I love garlic
