Yay, it’s Friday. I’m in a good mood despite having my linguine alfredo turn out quite differently than I expected. It wasn’t a total disaster, just not what I had in mind. No biggie, I’ll try again.
Something else I thought I’d try today is this meme I found on a blog called Fun, Crafts and Recipes. Looks like fun so here I am with this week’s Four Foods on Friday. Join us if you’re game :grin: .
#1. Steak. Plain, steak sauce, hot sauce, ketchup or something else?
I like my steak with mushroom sauce and lots of colorful veggies at the side.
#2. Water. Flavored, plain, carbonated. How do you like it?
I guzzle my water plain. When the weather heats up, there’s nothing like lots of ice-cubes to bring down the temperature, know what I mean?
#3. What’s your favorite kind of waffle?
I love my waffle with heaps of butter (oooh, fat!) + coconut jam, or ice-cream.
#4. If you could have any one new small appliance for your kitchen what would it be and why?
A juicer. My kids and I are crazy about fruit juice. It’s our latest craze. The ones sold at the stands in the mall cost a small fortune. So I’m looking to do homemade juice.

I’ve never heard of coconut jam. What is it?

@Karen
Coconut jam is made with coconut milk, eggs and sugar. Not very easy to make but tastes heavenly on a waffle.
@corrin
but I’m game to try. I’m looking for one that’s easy to clean.
I think I would too

Oh, I have coconut syrup but have never tried jam. I’ll have to see if my local stores carry it – lots of Asian & Filipino foods on our shelves, so maybe yes?

I’m not sure I’ve tried coconut syrup but I imagine it must be thick like maple syrup and drizzled on the waffle, yes?
